Understanding Magical's powerful //
Magical is with you on all the sites you work on today on Chrome or Edge including popular sites like Gmail, Salesforce, Zendesk, Intercom, and more. Magical will also work on your internal tools as long as you can open the site in Chrome or Edge.
To access Magical while you're working, type // and depending on where you type, you will see a dropdown with all your saved shortcuts or variables that you can fill.
To start creating shortcuts and transfers, you will use Magical's workspace or panel.
Navigate the Magical workspace
The Magical workspace is where you create, manage, and organize your shortcuts and transfers, invite your coworkers, and more.
To navigate to the workspace, open a new tab and click the Magical icon from your browser bar. You can also navigate to the workspace from the Magical panel by clicking the Workspace button.
Left-side navigation
While on the workspace, use the left-side navigation to create or find saved shortcuts and transfers.
Feature | What it is |
Private workspace | The Private workspace contains all your personal shortcuts and transfers which are only visible to you. If you are on a company domain, you will see team workspaces below your private workspace in which you can join. |
Shortcuts | Shortcuts are snippets of text, code, or other information you want to drop into your work — from frequently used customer replies to your Zoom link — you can save them as a shortcut. Learn more about shortcuts. |
Transfers |
Transfers allow you to move data across your open tabs without copy-paste. For example, you can quickly fill a form or a sheet with information from your other tabs. Learn more about transfers. |
Navigating the Magical panel
With the Magical panel, you have Magical with you on any webpage you visit and can view or create shortcuts, transfers, and variables directly from the panel. To open the panel, click the Magical icon from the browser bar on any page.
