Transfer data to sheets or forms in two seconds
What are transfers (in beta)?
When you insert a variable into a sheet or a form, Magical remembers which variable correlates with which field. This is called a transfer.
Transfers allow you to move data between a source and destination. Sources and destinations are any web page or web app on the internet. For example, you may want to move data from LinkedIn (source) to Google Sheets (destination), or ZoomInfo (source) to Salesforce (destination).
💡Pro tip: If it exists on the internet, you can likely use Magical to transfer data. Here are some examples of websites and apps where you can transfer data to and from.
How do I create a transfer?
There are two ways to set up a transfer with Magical
1) Use the guided experience in-app. Click here to be guided.
2) Set up a transfer using // within your sheet or form. We'll show you how below.
How to set up a transfer using // in a sheet or form
Once you've filled out a row on a sheet or fill out a form with variables, fill it again and watch the magic happen ⭐

Using variables, Magical populates sheets like Google Sheets or databases like fields in your CRM or ATS, without any copy-pasting.
To do this, first show Magical where you want to pull data from (e.g. LinkedIn) and where you want the data to go (e.g. Google Sheets or Salesforce). Do this once, and Magical will do the rest for you.
First, open your destination (Google Sheets or form) and open the tabs where you want to pull data from. For example, if you were sourcing candidates on Linkedin, you would open the profiles of candidates you’re interested in.
Fill a sheet 📝
In Google Sheets, type // to fill in a sheet’s row of cells with your candidate’s variable data such as Name, Company, or School. Now, Magical will remember this mapping between your Google Sheet cells and the variables from LinkedIn.
On the next row, type // again and click Fill everything. Magical will populate the rows below with information from the remaining tabs you have open.
Fill a form 🗄️
Navigate to your favorite CRM or ATS, and create a new record. Type // to start filling out the form with your open tab’s variable information.
The next time you fill out this form, type // and click “Fill everything”. Magical will remember the mapping and fill out the form automatically with your remaining open tab’s information.
