By default, Magical opens with // — two forward slashes typed anywhere you’re working. This shortcut triggers the Magical dropdown so you can quickly access your templates and autofills.
But you’re not stuck with //. You can customize it to any two-character combo that works best for your workflow.
How to Customize Your Shortcut
Open Magical Workspace
Click your avatar menu in the top-right
Select Personal Settings
Go to Keyboard Shortcuts
Click Customize and enter your new two-character shortcut
Click Save.
If a webpage was already open, you'll need to refresh to get the new shortcut.
Why You Might Want to Change It
Conflict with other tools
Some apps (especially coding tools or developer environments) already use//as a shortcut. Changing it prevents overlap.Numeric input fields
Some fields only accept numbers. Switching your shortcut to digits (like11or22) ensures Magical still works in those cases.
