What is AI Transforms?
AI Transforms takes your site info, structured data you've defined on a webpage, and applies an AI-generated transformation to it on the fly.
This means you can:
Reformat a date (e.g., from
MMM DD, YYYYtoDD/MM/YYYY)Combine multiple fields into one (e.g., "First Name" + "Last Name" → "Full Name")
Standardize data (e.g., format an address using USPS standards)
Generate text (e.g., use someone’s name, title, and bio to write a compelling outreach message)
Run calculations or translations
It’s like having a mini AI assistant sitting inside your automation, ready to adapt your data exactly how you need it.
Why It’s Different (and Better)
Other tools send an entire messy webpage to AI and hope for the best. That often means inaccurate or irrelevant results.
Magical is different: you first define the exact data you want using site info, giving the AI a clean, structured input to work with. This makes AI Transforms more accurate, consistent, and reliable.
How to Use AI Transforms
Here’s a step-by-step guide
1. Open the Extension Panel
Navigate to the webpage where your source information lives.
Open the Magical extension from your browser and look for the source card at the top of the panel.
2. Create Site Info (if you haven’t already)
To use AI Transforms, you first need site info—structured fields you define from a webpage.
Click the source card to open the Site Info panel
Click New
Then click on a text element on the page (e.g., a name, date, job title, message body)
Label it and hit Save
This creates a reusable field that Magical can reference in your automations or transforms.
3. Select Site Info to Transform
In the Site Info panel:
Check one or more site info items
Click the Transform button (it becomes active after selecting fields)
4. Enter Your AI Prompt
Now the magic begins:
You’ll see the selected site info listed as input
Write your custom prompt describing what you want to generate or change (e.g., “Format this as MM/DD/YYYY” or “Write a warm intro based on their bio, name, and title for an outbound message about Magical”)
It’s a freeform prompt field—so get creative!
5. Preview the Result
Click Preview to see what AI generates.
If you like it:
Click Save
The transformed result is now available as a new site info field
You can use it in any automation
If you don’t like it:
Refine your prompt
Preview again until it looks right
Use It in Automations or Templates
Once saved, your AI Transformed site info can be:
Filled into any input field in your automation
Filled into any template placeholder
Combined with other fields
Triggered manually or automatically
No need for extra tools or manual tweaks—it just works.
