Do I need to add labels to the same website and web app every time I open the page?

No, you only need to add labels to a website or web app once. Magical will remember that you added labels to the specific site or app so you never have to do it again. You will be able to use the info on that page that you have labelled for your Transfer and Template fills.

How can I split info? For example, if I just want to retrieve First Name from Full Name.

You can split info if there is a space between them. To do this, in the Transfers tab in the panel, select the info you want to modify (for example, Jane Doe). Click on the split icon (pictured below) to separate the variable.

Do I need to have the website or web app open every time I am using the info?

Yes, the relevant website tab must be open for Magical to access the correct info. For example, if you were sending an email to Oprah Winfrey πŸ˜‰ and your Template has placeholders that would use info from a LinkedIn profile, you would need to have her LinkedIn profile open.

Where can I add new info?

In general, you can add labels to info for any site on the internet. Labelling info works best on web pages with structured data (e.g., Profile page on Facebook, Business page on Yelp, Home Listing on Airbnb).

We do not currently support adding labels on desktop apps.

Why does info already exist on some websites and not others?

Magical comes with info labels built out of the box for hundreds of the most popular websites. Your task may be more customer, so you can always add or edit your labels on websites and web apps.

Can I use info from multiple websites or web-apps when filling a form or adding personalization to a template?

Yes, but it's not as automatic. When you are filling placeholders in a Templates or using info to fill a form, you are able to fill info from different tabs, but one at a time.

You can't yet fill information in more than 1 placeholder or field that comes from different sources.

You can stack Templates (i.e., multiple templates that act as building blocks). For example, if you wanted to include info from both LinkedIn and Salesforce in a template, you would need to set up two separate templates.
